Always enjoyable with great panels, fantastic bands to see, and plenty of drinks parties, as usual we headed off to Groningen to Noorderslag/Eurosonic arriving early for the EBBAs with live performances from the 10 winners, which included the fantastic Irishman James Vincent McMorrow, Belgian Selah Sue and the Netherlands very own Afrojack.

Followed swifly by the European Festival awards, with an excellent live performance from Selah Sue and a lifetime achievement ward for Michael Eavis, it was a busy first night!
